Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for the OPUS Directory?

Download the OPUS Directory app through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Tap "Create Account" on the login screen and follow the 4-step registration wizard. You will need your full name, email address, phone number, lodge or chapter affiliation, and occupation details. A member number will be automatically assigned upon successful registration.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter the email address associated with your account. You will receive a verification code to reset your password. If you do not receive the code, check your spam folder or contact support.

How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Go to Settings, then Account Security in the app. You can choose from three verification methods:

  • SMS: Receive a code via text message to your registered phone number.
  • Email: Receive a code to your registered email address.
  • Authenticator App: Scan a QR code with an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) to generate time-based codes.

New members have a 10-day grace period to set up 2FA after registration.

How do I update my profile information?

Navigate to the "My Profile" tab in the app and tap "Edit Profile." You can update your contact information, occupation details, and other profile fields. Some fields such as your member number and lodge affiliation may only be editable by an administrator.

Who can see my information in the directory?

Your profile information is only visible to other verified, registered members of the OPUS Directory. The general public does not have access to the directory. Administrative officers may have additional access for lodge management purposes.

How do I search for members in the directory?

Use the "Directory" tab to browse and search for members. You can search by name, occupation, lodge, or district. Use the filter options to narrow your results.

I'm not receiving SMS verification codes. What should I do?

If you are not receiving SMS codes:

  • Ensure your phone number is correct in your profile settings.
  • Check that your phone can receive text messages and is not blocking short codes or unknown numbers.
  • If you previously replied STOP to opt out of messages, reply START to re-subscribe.
  • Try switching to email or authenticator app verification as an alternative.
  • Contact support if the issue persists.

How do I delete my account?

To request account deletion, please contact us at support@opus.directory with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your member number and registered email address. Account deletions are processed within 5 business days.

Who do I contact for lodge or district administration questions?

For questions related to lodge management, district administration, bulk member uploads, or administrative access, please contact the Grand Secretary's office at support@opus.directory.

Administrative Access

Grand Lodge officers and authorized administrators can access the Grand Secretary Console at /admin for member management, lodge administration, bulk operations, and reporting. If you need administrative access, please contact the Grand Secretary's office.
